A Day Spa at Home? Here’s How I Do It In 7 Steps
Posted
No Fiji flights booked? A Bali beach retreat not on the cards? Don’t worry. Here’s the 7 Hairhouse products I use to create the ultimate at-home day spa.

Shower Power:
The first step to really rinsing away the winter blues and stepping into your serene, best self? A great shower! I love Eleven Australia Wash Me All Over for a super simple reset. Packed with natural oils including papaya extract and almond oil, it gently exfoliates dead skin cells, leaving a subtle scent of orange, lavender and coconut oils.
Winter Warm Up:
Once the shower is done, my favourite hack is to use a warm towel straight out of the clothes dryer to pat skin dry. The warmth helps to open the pores, soften the skin's surface, and increase blood circulation. This in turn enhances any moisturising steps to come.
Made To Order Moisture:
Next, it’s all about indulging in hydration. Hunter Lab Hand & Body Lotion is my go-to for light, luxe moisture. Every product in this brand looks super gorgeous in my bathroom, but the formulations also create a non-greasy, super lightweight and enriching feeling. When I need to really max out my moisture – and we all know winter takes it out of us through indoor heating and chilly, wild winds – I go with ASPAR Ultra Rich Body Cream. Enriched with a 5-oil blend of botanicals, it's beautiful after a pre-sleep shower as, in the morning, tired skin is super glowy again! Amazing skin? Tick! Now for some facial fun!
The Real Peel:
A super-charged complexion refresh is next. Comfort Zone Sublime Skin Micropeel Lotion is formulated with a balanced blend of 2.5% lactic acid and 2.5% gluconolactone, designed to gently micro exfoliate the skin, removing impurities, smoothing the skin texture and enhancing following Skincare steps. Vegan, clean, fragrance free and packed with 99% natural origin ingredients; this product really delivers salon-level skin health.
Gold Standard Skin:
When it’s time to turn my skin health up to 11, Antipodes Aura Gold Manuka Honey Radiance Mask is next on my me-time luxe list. This creamy mask is infused with essential ceramides and sustainably sourced New Zealand manuka honey to support complexion barrier health. All those benefits aside, it feels – and looks – amazing when applied! I leave this on for 15 minutes, allowing the vitamin C rich kakadu plum to work its magic.
Foot Refresh:
When it comes to an at-home day spa, often the feet get forgotten! Not this time. I am a big fan of Maskology Foot Mask Professional Foot Bootie which is designed to focus on this hard-working area to rejuvenate and hydrate. It contains fruit extracts, shea butter and peppermint which instantly cool sore, rough feet. Salicylic Acid also targets dead skin cells, so it’s really like a personal pedicure!
Glow to Go:
Feeling amazing with super supple, moisturised skin – literally from face to feet – it's time for a true glow up. Coco and Eve Bali Dark Self-Tan gives me the post-holiday glow – without the spend on flights! Super easy to apply, the kit comes with a rich, Bronzing Foam, hypoallergenic soft velvet mitt for even, all-over application and a Deluxe Vegan Kabuki Brush to blend areas around knees, heels and elbows.
